We are currently seeking to fill the position of Director of Hockey at St John's School, Leatherhead.
St John’s School is seeking an outstanding, ambitious and inspiring Director of Hockey to provide the strategic leadership, vision and technical expertise needed to shape the next phase of our flagship hockey programme.
We recognise that exceptional hockey leaders may come from a variety of professional backgrounds and we welcome applications from both qualified teachers and accomplished hockey professionals. While the role and its responsibilities will remain the same, the contractual terms will reflect the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, with the appointment offered on either a Teacher or Support Staff contract with associated terms and benefits.
The Director of Hockey will work closely with the Director of Sport and as a key member of the Sports Leadership Team, the Director of Hockey will oversee all aspects of hockey, including participation, coaching and staff development, talent identification, player pathways, fixtures, tours and competitive performance. They will establish a clear hockey identity and coaching philosophy, develop strong external partnerships and create an environment in which every pupil can enjoy the sport, fulfil their potential and represent St John’s with pride.
