Head of Futures

Christ’s Hospital, Horsham

Full-time, term time + 5 weeks (with up to 10 Saturday mornings across the year; commensurate morning/afternoon off in the week as appropriate).

Start date: Lent Term 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter

Christ’s Hospital, one of the UK’s most distinctive and historic schools, is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven professional to lead our newly created Futures Department, encompassing careers, higher education guidance, employability, and life skills education from Year 7 through to Year 13.

This is an exceptional opportunity to design and deliver a transformational seven-year Futures Programme, helping our pupils build the knowledge, confidence, and skills to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

The successful candidate will bring creativity, empathy, and strategic insight to a role that works across the full breadth of school life, collaborating with the Heads of PSHE and Learning for Life, Heads of Year, the Sixth Form team, Senior Leadership and our vibrant alumni network.

At Christ’s Hospital, our mission to challenge inequality through transformational education shapes everything we do. The Head of Futures will ensure that every student, regardless of background, leaves prepared to navigate a rapidly changing world.

It is anticipated that this role will evolve and grow in the coming years as the school develops its Futures provision towards national excellence. We are therefore looking for someone who combines strong practical experience with the vision to build and shape a programme of lasting impact.
