Hurstpierpoint College is a co-educational day and boarding school for boys and girls aged between 4 and 18 years. Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior Schools are linked by common values and a common academic and administrative framework, to provide a complete education. There are currently 402 boys and 329 girls. 54% of the pupils are boarders. The Preparatory School has a further 292 boys and girls and the Pre-Prep currently has 69 pupils. Hurst is truly co-educational throughout and offers boarding for boys and girls in the Senior School. Boarding is a particularly popular option at the school with many day pupils and flexi-boarders later opting to become weekly boarders. In their Upper Sixth year at Hurst, pupils join St John's House, a co-educational day and boarding house where, appropriately supervised, they enjoy greater freedoms and are encouraged to further develop their independent learning skills in preparation for university.
