Berkhampstead School, Cheltenham for girls and boys aged 3-11 offers a superb education for your child. Our bright and welcoming Day Nursery (from 3 months) means that babies now benefit from the 70 years experience of caring, nurturing and educating that we provide. Berkhampstead is a very happy place, with a supportive atmosphere where children flourish. It is not pressurised, yet the results are excellent.

Children are prepared for Grammar School Tests and Independent School Scholarship Papers, wherever they move on to, they will leave confident, positive and well-equipped to succeed.

We provide an excellent education in a friendly and supportive environment. Our children are taught by enthusiastic, well-qualified and imaginative teachers, who are interested in each child - we celebrate the individual. The standard of our Music is second to none, our Jazz Band and String Ensembles, Folk and Guitar bands really enjoy music making. Over 90% of the Prep children play an instrument and many Pre-Prep pupils enjoy Music Clubs too. Music matters but children are equally committed a broad range of activities. Sport is very important here and the children enjoy Drama, Art and Chess, where they have great success. We are proud of what we do at Berkhampstead School, our 'Outstanding' pastoral care and our 'Demanding and interesting' curriculum were recently endorsed by ISI Inspectors. ISI judged our pupils to be 'effective and competent learners .... highly positive attitudes to their learning' and they are - a credit to the school and to our wonderfully supportive parent body. Our lovely Berkhampstead Day Nursery, which adjoins our Pre-Prep grounds is now open to children from 3 months old.
