At Royal High Bath we are seeking a talented Director of Music to lead our vibrant Music department.

Salary: GDST Regional ML2, no less than £43,650

Closing date: Friday 27 March at 9am

Interview date: Tuesday 31 March

Purpose

Our Music Department is a vibrant, creative hub with a strong reputation for excellence. As Director of Music you will be responsible for the following:

Curriculum

Music taught from Year 5 to Year 13

Strong uptake at GCSE and A Level Music

Growing interest in A Level Music Technology

A curriculum that blends classical, contemporary, and digital approaches

Facilities

A state of the art recording studio with industry standard equipment

A digital production suite with leading DAWs

Multiple rehearsal rooms and teaching spaces

A performance hall used for concerts, recitals, and whole school events

Creative Arts Collaboration

A close working relationship with the Drama Department

Joint planning of school productions, musicals, and interdisciplinary arts events

Shared commitment to a One School creative vision

Co Curricular Life

Choirs, orchestras, bands, chamber groups, and contemporary ensembles

Regular concerts, showcases, and collaborative arts events

Opportunities for tours, competitions, and partnerships with external organisations

A large team of peripatetic teachers offering a wide range of instrumental and vocal tuition
