Salisbury Cathedral School is looking for a Head of Nursery to lead our fantastic team. The Nursery is well established and well-loved! We are seeking an experienced practitioner with managerial experience to take us forward in our next journey.
About our Nursery
Moving to all-year-round setting from January 2025, open for 50 weeks a year
Opening hours from January 2025: 7.30am to 6.00pm
Option for parents to choose term time only or term time plus contracts
A small, but mighty current team of practitioners, with great potential for the Head of Nursery to recruit additional colleagues once in post
Lunch provided
Free parking available
What you can expect
To be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Nursery including session bookings, staff rotas
To facilitate Early Years Funding, working alongside the School’s finance department
To take part in recruitment of staff where needed
To support the team of staff to meet statutory ratios and include contingency staffing where appropriate
To provide a child-centred environment where children are cared for in a safe, caring and stimulating way that ensures their individual needs are met within a group setting
To implement the Nursery’s Equal Opportunities policy in all aspects of the Nursery and other childcare services
To take responsibility for quality assurance and compliance with all applicable legislation, including Health and Safety within the Nursery environment
