An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional educational leader to join our thriving all‑girls' independent school as Assistant Head Academic. This pivotal role will suit a dynamic, forward‑thinking professional who is passionate about girls’ education and committed to fostering an ambitious, inclusive, and intellectually vibrant learning culture.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Assistant Head Academic will provide strategic direction and day‑to‑day oversight of the School’s academic provision. This includes leading on curriculum development, assessment, teaching and learning, and staff professional development. The successful candidate will champion high standards, innovative practice, and research‑led teaching practice, ensuring that every pupil is challenged, supported, and inspired to achieve their full potential.

The role requires a collaborative leader who can motivate and empower colleagues, build strong relationships across the school community, and communicate a clear vision for academic excellence. Candidates should bring a proven track record of successful leadership, outstanding classroom practice, and the ability to analyse data, drive improvement, and manage change with confidence and sensitivity.
